~Spring Break~

We started our spring break off not doing a whole lot! Kortney and Jake came to stay with us on Tuesday because their parents had to go to Texas. We had a surprise planned for the kids because all Kortney wanted for spring break was a party! We left on Thursday evening and went to Las Vegas! On Friday we went to the chocolate factory, went swimming, ate lunch at Pizza Hut, went to see the Temple, went to the Mirage and watched the volcano show, and we ended the night with dinner at the Olive Garden! On Saturday we had to go find some hobos for Kortney! We found plenty of them, like 100, and it made Kort's whole trip! We then went to Fremont Street to explore. After that we  drove down the strip because Jake had never got to. To end the party we went and visited Debi for a while then ate some lunch at IN-N-OUT and headed out. We had to make one last stop at the Valley of Fire to get some fire works and take the kiddos home! We had a wonderful time and it was fantastic to not have any cares in the world and do what ever we wanted. I think the kids had fun and we cant wait to do it again!

I don't like being the mean mom.

It breaks my heart to make Kadence cry but I can't handle not going to bed and not taking a nap. And the last while waking up early. She refuses to sleep in her crib since the 16th and will only sleep in her big girl bed. You may think this is a good thing... Well it would be if she would stay in there. We started out Screaming in her crib to go to bed and to have naps and it lasted for a few days. Now that she is in her other bed she is going to bed fine, usually, but wakes up to come find us a couple times in the night. One night she had woke up for the second time and was just sitting on her little bench between our rooms with her blanket and didn't want to do anything. I finally got her to come lay with us till she fell asleep then I moved her back to her bed. The last few nights she comes in our room and lays on the floor on Cameron's side of the bed and we have no idea! I DONT know what I am going to do with her! Finally last night she woke up at 4:20 and I put her back in bed, and she went right back to sleep then woke up just before 8! So we are making progress and naps are slowly getting better too!

Daddy love

Kadence has sure taken to her daddy lately! I love that she doesn't all ways need me! Dad has a lot more energy than I do so she can talk him into doing a lot more. She loves doing bubbles and being out side so one Sunday afternoon she talked him into it!

22 Months

Pib (pig), puppy, fish! That is all we hear about! TV... Oh! That is a very common fraise we here, everyday. She loves TV and animals. I became the mean mom and took her binky away yesterday after nap time and she did awesome going to bed last night which surprised me. She had a hard time when she woke up and didn't do well with naps but she went to bed just fine! She is learning so much and is either playing, singing, or dancing all the time! Cameron has been working here in town this week and Kadence has been loving being able to go visit him. She loves being free and playing in all the rocks. She knows when we go to town and the first thing she asks for is French fries! Last week we had a really scary night. She woke up crying at 2am and I went in to find her binky. After a few minutes of listening she was coughing super bad and couldn't breath. I ended up laying in the chair with her and she slept a little better as long as she was on her tummy. I was so scared and Cameron was not home. I was all most to the point I was going to call Ron to come giver her a blessing and ask his opnion and I just decided to say a prayer and about 30 minutes later Cameron walked in the door! Kadence was asleep but as soon as Cameron turned the light on she flipped around and said DADDY! after a while of her wanting to play at 3:30 in the morning  we finally went to bed in our bed and she slept pretty good. We went to the Dr. that afternoon and he said to us, "I am not sure what to say about a kid that looks 100% perfect! But she does have croup." So she got a steroid shot in her leg that she hated and about 4 hours later she was as good as new. I am so glad she is doing better and I am so thankful for the true power of prayer. Sometimes I wonder if I am doing things right but then I realize I must be most of the time!
